Hot, heavy rain in evening

Saw general manager of S.L.S.T. Impossible for us to visit Sefadu as the situation is out of hand. They are asking the government to control the situation as the police are unable to do so.We then saw Mr Wurrie of Delco; Mr Hope and Mr O'Neill of Guma. Went to see Mr Ned James of DiCorWA but had to return at  3 pm in the afternoon. He showed us their showroom.
At 11.00 went to Fourah Bay College to see the registrar Mr M.P.O. Gerber;also saw Mr Doule and a V.S.O. worker earning £10/month (about 1/2 pay). Arranged to look around the college on Friday and also to meet the students at 20:30 to talk about our journey. Saw the Minister of Information at 16:30.
Hassib gave us all a pair of jeans and Khalil gave us all  leather coats.
Had dinner with Hassib
