Day 40 03/10/69 Freetown

Rain in morning,cloudy, very humid

Met Mr Tom Hope, Guma Valley Water Co. manager and arranged to visit Guma Valley on Monday 6 Oct.
Also met with Mr De Mel,Freetown Electricity Corporation, and arranged to visit the 2.4MW Turbine generating facility on the same day (Monday 6 Oct).
We will leave Guma House at 09:00 with lunch provided.
Walked along Kissy Street and met all the cousins.Received letter from Aunt Nellie; had big lunch; back to immigration office to hand in passport.
Alieu took us to Fourah Bay College to met the registrar. He was not in,nor was Mr Doyle but we arranged to return at 11:00 on Tuesday 7 Oct.
Alieu took us for a drive up Station Hill and out to the beach. Had a drink at
Cape Club. Had supper and then Kalil took us all out for a drink. Went to a very English type of club,soft lights English music and very expensive. A pleasant  night however.
