Wintery weatherRose late and had breakfast/lunch "brunch". We had 10 francs each for the day and arranged to meet up at Saint Germain metro at 19:00. Went on "walk 1"in Ron's book - Palais de Justice and Notre Dame. Walked along the left bank to the Louvre (entry 3 francs) and down the Champ de Elsyses. Saw sailing boats on a fountain and was very tempted to hire one. Reached the Eiffel Tower and went up to the 2nd stage. A wonderful view just at dusk; cars like toys far below. Returned by No. 87 bus and had a coffee and read the Telegraph before meeting the others. Had Chinese meal, returned to the camp site and had 2 beers on the way.
