Rose at 05:45 and away by 07:30. Ron followed in his car with Nick. Arrived at Dieppe at 10:00 and had breakfast of French bread, cheese, corned beef, sardines and cake. Boat trip very good, hardly anyone on board. Fairly smooth but a large swell. Arrived Newhaven at 16:00. Had coffee with Ron in a cafe and then to Tonbridge. Had a puncture on the way in the pouring rain and had to change the inner tube.. Arrived at Tonbridge at 20:00 and had a delicious meal of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding thanks to Nick's parents.
