Towns are vastly different to Britain now - far more so than the French towns.
Burgos to Madrid; camped off the main road - a very good site overlooking a valley.
Lovely white houses& white walled farmyards dotted about the brown grass fields with the green trees giving a terrific contrast to the scene.
Close to Madrid airport, many planes. Skyscrapers of Madrid on the horizon giving a contrast between old and new, country and town.
Countryside has become progressively more barren as we have travelld south.
Had a good meal at a restaurant - mixed vegetables 60 pesetas,lamb chops
75 pesetas & felt a lot better for it.
L/R gearbox is noisy & the steering track toe in could be wrong.Seems to be some vaporisation in the petrol supply
